"Capitalism:A Love Story" Might Be Moore's Last Documentary

Michael Moore recently said that his new documentary "Capitalism: A Love Story" might be his last. Moore is a famous movie maker who began 20 years ago with 'Roger and Me' and has found mainstream success with 'Fahranheit 9/11'. Moore believes this because the movie targets wall street and banks for the financial mess, which coincidentally also includes some of sponsors. This has led Moore to presume that the companies who help pay for his documentaries will not support him anymore. Luckily Moore has a plan which is to use the money he saved from his documentary 'Sicko' to make other movies. Let's all hope he continues.

"I'm Yours" and your Ours

Recently i read an article saying that Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" broke the record for the longest run on the billboard hot 100. Now I would never have thought that this song would be the one to stay the longest on the charts, but after repeatedly hearing this song since it came out, I can with all confidence say that this song grows on you with every listen. Let me tell you that i have listened to this song at different times and with different moods, but the song always give me the same feeling which is joyness and freedom. Jason mentioned that he wrote this song in 5 minutes and i could picture him in Hawaii sitting on a portch adjacent to the ocean and hearing the sound of the waves while writing this song. Now i'm pretty sure that he did not write it in the way I described but that's what i feel everytime I hear this song. The song makes me want to drive to the nearest beach and just lay there and relax. What makes this song so ingenious is the lyrics which are so simple yet so meaningful. I mean who manages to make the words "scootch on over dear" work other than Mraz.

Movie Review: Drag Me To Hell

This is Sam Raimi's first horror flick sine "The Gift" and it was written 10 years ago with his brother Ivan Raimi. Sam started out making horror movies such as the classic Evil Dead Series which became a cult classic. Now we know him as the director of the Spider Man movies.
Drag Me To Hell tells the tale of loan officer Christine Brown (Allison Lohman) who used to be a fat farm girl but now has become thin and moved to Los Angeles, California. She is living the life she wants and is happy with her boyfriend Clay Dalton (Justin Long). At the same time she is striving in her work and wants to get a promotion as an assistan manager, but her boss Mr. Jacks (David Paymer) is considering giving the promotion to Stu Rubin (Reggie Lee) becuase Christine isn't willing to make tough decisions. When Sylvia Ganush (Lorna Raver) comes to the bank and asks Christine for an extension on her house payment, Christine decides to deny the extension even though Sylvia started to beg. After that Sylvia places a curse on Christine and all hell comes down on Christine who then gets haunted by a powerful demon.
When i first heard the story i was like "o'boy another normal horror movie", but man was I WRONG! The movie had exceeded my expectations in every way. First off, Sam Raimi had crafted a horror movie which i hadn't witnessed I think ever. The directing was top notch for a horror movie as was the writing which contained a little humourous dialogue. Now i've heard that Sam likes to add humour and here he places it at the right scenes. Also the movie has alot of scary scenes especially when Christine is by herself. Allison Lohman and Lorna Raver do a great job at playing there characters. Allison plays the character with a subtle but aggresive performance which i believe fits the role. The supporting actors are also good at playing their roles, although i found Justin Long's acting a bit emotionless. Overall, this movie is a must see for both horror and non-horror movie fans as it brings something that most horror movies out these days don't which is actual horror.

They're BACK!!

If you're an avid Seinfeld fan like i am, well then you will be happy to hear that they are reuniting on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Yes that's right, it's the reunion we have all been waiting for. We will finally see Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer as they once were. 'This is better then what i had expected for our reunion show" said Jerry in a recent interview. "This is the anti-reunion reunion" Julia told EW magazine recently.

What makes this news even more impressive is the fact that they will appear on one of my favourite comdies ever which is Curb Your Enthusiasm. Curb Your Enthusiasm is created by Larry David who was the co-creater of Seinfeld along with Jerry. Now if you had watched season 6 of Curb you would know that Larry (the character in the show) had split up with his wife Cheryl (played by Cheryl Hines) and this reunion show he's doing is a plan to get Cheryl back. This being Curb and Larry being Larry, I get the sense that it won't go all that perfect but it's the way i expect it to be. So tune in for Curb your Enthusiasm which Premiers on HBO on September 20. Also look for Newman to guest star.

The Lovely Bones looks awsome!

For my first post i thought i should write aobut a movie that i'm highly anticipating which is Peter Jackson's latest flick called "The Lovely Bones". Now we all know Peter Jackson as the great director behind "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "King Kong", the first being one of my all-time favourite movies. Now he is back doing what he does best and that is enchant us with great story telling and spectacular special effects.

Now the movie is based on the novel of the same name by Alice Sebold. The movie takes place in 1973 and tells the story of Susie Salmon, played by Saoirse Ronan (Antonment), who gets raped and murdered by a serial killer who targets young girls and women. She is then placed in a heavenlike setting watching over her family as they grieve and at the same time looking over her killer as he prepares to murder again.

Mark Wahlberg stars as Susie's dad while Rachel Weisz playes the mother. It also stars Susan Sarandon, Michael Imperioli and Stanely Tucci. With a terrific cast, director and story, this movie is sure to be one the of best this year.

First Time

Well let me start out by saying that this is my first time joining the blog-o-sphere and I am completely lost. But in life you have to try out new things and see where it goes from there. Should I be worried that people won't like what i have to say? No! Am I going to speak my mind on issues ranging from life to entertainment? Yes!
This is what i plan to accomplish here. Make a blog which hopefully people will like and can relate to in anyway. Also at the same time have fun while writing my posts and being able to write what I'm thinking. Well... not everything I'm thinking.
